Arrival at Addis Ababa, meet and greet, transfer to your hotel.

Drive to Awash, visit colorful markets to experience Oromo/Afar cultures. Evening game drive to see wildlife & hot springs.

Day 3 Description
Drive to Abedelale Hot Spring & Awash Delta lakes. Visit Haussa Afar Royal Village, then proceed to Semera. Camping.
Day 4

Collect permit for volcano. Drive Semera to Afdera Salt Lake. Camping by the Lake.
Day 5
Day 5 Description
Drive Afdera to Whydodo. Foot of the mountain Known as Dodom. Cook meals, prepare camels, ascend to summit of Erta Ale.
Day 6
Day 6 Description
Spend the day at Erta-Ale, enjoy active volcanic eruption. Late evening descend to Dodom base camp.
Day 7
Day 7 Description
Drive Dodom to Ahmedela, passing Whydodo village by sandy river basin. Camping Ahmedela.
Day 8
Day 8 Description
Excursion to Dallol land formation, yellow sulfur hot springs, salt hills, and Lake Asale. Afternoon drive to Wukro.
Day 9
Day 9 Description
Visit Tigray rock churches: Wukro Cherkos, Adi Kesho, Michael Amba, Negash. Drive to Gheralta. Overnight Mekelle.
Day 10
Day 10 Description
Fly Mekelle to Addis Ababa. Last minute shopping, farewell dinner, transfer for flight back home.
